The first television commercial was broadcasted on July 1, 1941 at 2:29 PM. It was for the Bulova Watch Company. The company paid $9.00 for New York City NBC Affiliate WNBT for a 20 second spot which was simply a voice over with a Bulova Watch displayed on the screen. The commerical was played during a baseball game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies.
